Dog & Sky — “Lhasa Express”

The record’s title is the much disputed train line between China and Tibet, and the photography of the cover documents the landscapes and people living in this area. This limited box version of the album continues this story through the use of ancient Tibetan art branded into the wooden box (and silk printed on the additional vinyl “Lhasa Excess”) as well as Tibetan handmade paper for the lyric sheet, envelope and seal of the box. The box also included the wonderful photography book by Vegar Moen with the same title as the album.

Custom (real) stamps, custom postcards, silk printed t-shirt and pins with cover artwork, branded wood box, gatefold vinyl. All in.

Photography: Vegar Moen
Art direction: Håvard Winther Gjelseth
